Comment: Mac OS X with Bootcamp made it easy to add Windows XP to my MacBook so that I could run the programs compatible with my wife's insulin pump and real time glucose meter.

Comment: Initially I was hesitant to try a new operating system on my mac, but Leopard turned out to be utterly magnificent. Very little compatibility problems with existing software and it is just as fast if not faster than tiger. A great product.

Comment: I got the Leopard upgrade so I could handle the newest video format output from my Canon HF11 videocam. The computer sees my camera and FinalCut works great. Very happy.

Comment: I waited to upgrade until the bugs were worked out. Installed on a MMD G4 and it works great, although I would recommend maxing your RAM on older machines.

Summary: Fixed network setting problem with Tiger
Comment: I decided to solve the problem "network setting have been changed by another program", received after I installed a recent Mac security update, with an upgrade from Tiger to Leopard. I had exhausted the possibilities offered by the Mac Fix It forum, and I had not been able to access the internet for a long time. Apple, it seems, has not offered a fix.
Leopard installed easily, and I did a custom install, choosing to not install printer drivers, non-English languages, and a Unix module, saving myself 5 or so gigs of space. The dial up internet is now working great, and surfing on the Web is much faster than with Windows XP, with many less problems. I also installed the recent 10.5.5 update.
