Comment: I bought this earpiece to pair with the Sony wireless transmitter for iPod. My goal was a wireless system for my Apple iTouch. It works flawlessly!! Not all earpieces will stream music. If you are looking for this capability, be sure your choice is A2DP enabled.
The Jabra BT-8040 is very light and comes with two each of large, medium and small ear gels which are totally comfortable for long wearing. I listen to audio books and never notice I am wearing the earpiece even after extended periods of time. Pairing with the transmitter was super easy and instantaneous. Within just minutes I was listening to my iTouch. Volume control is easy with plenty of variation. The on/off button is centered on the earpiece making it very easy to operate. The unit comes with a wall charger and a USB charger. Charging is fast and the battery holds the charge well.
I am not using the Jabra with a wireless phone so I cannot comment on the phone features. However, these features are impressive and I have no reason to believe they will not work as described.
The Jabra BT-8040 does exactly what I wanted and I absolutely recommend the product.

Comment: This is a great headset with a very good call quality, impressive. This is my second bluetooth headset and there are many things that are better in my new Jabra 8040. Really, it has everything you would want in a bluetooth headset; great call quality, people can hear you without any problems on the other end, its small, its light and it fits great. I especially love quick connection that it establishes with my cell phone. It was a pain with my older bluetooth headset.
Just like the other reviewer said, make sure to remove plastic film covering the speaker, I found two on my headset.
To those of you with Blackberry Pearl, if you expereince any problems, update Jabra 8040 firmware. My Jabra 8040 was unusable with Blackberry Pearl until i updated firmware. After the update, everything works great without any problems.

Comment: This can be considered a good blue tooth headset. It works well and the battery is pretty good also. It is not the most comfortable headset I have worn.. but with that said it is worth the money.

Comment: This is my first headset. I did not compare much which i usually do when i buy a electronic product. So i may not be able to provide a good comparison. However the bottom line is it serves the purpose very well.
The sound is loud and clear. Although i can sometime hear a rattling sound in the background which i am not sure if it is my phone or signal reception. The operation is very simple. What makes it really neat is it is packaged well in a small size. I like small sizes because when i don't need the headset, i can easily slip into my pocket.
It fits my ear quite well. Initially i was not comfortable as i did not know how the ear gels that were provided fitted in your ear. However now i am pretty comfortable. There are different size ear gel in the box and found the right one for me. Initially it does feel that he is loosely hanging to your ear, but believe me it does hangs on quite nicely.
Working wise as i mentioned earlier pretty good. I switch off the headphone it disconnects and gets connected immediately when i switch on. I heard from my friends that this is not the case with other headsets as you have to setup the connection every time you switch it on.
In all i am happy with the product and it is a good value for money.
